Today was good for various reasons, such as getting to run, feeling inspired, talking to my mom, having good fellowship with some Watts girls, sorta understanding calculus today, getting messages from so many people *feels loved*.

Not so great things about today as well, but we won't focus on those too very much. ^__~

Messages and then I have to go study...

Zach~ I hope you enjoy your play on Friday! Its too bad that you couldn't come because you are missing out on free food. ^__~ Your loss. Glad things went well with my mom, sorry that McKenzie was so rude *glares at her*

Amy~ Lemme just say again that your pictures are sooo pretty!! Dillion is such a cutie! I caught Tasuki looking at the pictures again earlier. Just thought you'd like to know ^__~ *snugs*

Dad~ Wish I could give you partial credit for naming "Jesse's Girl"'s lyricist... but I can't. Sorry! ^^;; Can't wait to see you Wednesday!

Can't think of anymore messages so I'm going to go back to studying... going to venture into foreign territory.. the library. As Katherine so eloquently put it I am a "library virgin" *snickers* Alright, here I go. Later!

Classes Left until NO More Calculus: 12!!!XD
Current Mood: Stressed
Song of Choice: "Every Little Thing" ~ Dishwalla

Yay for the Retreat to Montreat!! We had a lot of fun!! The nice thing about this weekend is that it was so relaxed schedule-wise. ^__^

We got there Friday night, had dinner, and played games. Then some of the girls watched Notting Hill, which is still a cute movie. I slept like a log that night. The next day we had a brief meeting and then we were sent out to find a quiet comfortable spot to commune with God for about an hour and half. My friend Cammy, who had been to Montreat many times before, lead some of us to the creek where we ended up settling down for our talk with God. The girls that were near me and I ended up going about 2 hours instead, but hey, it was such a relieving experience. After that we went on a hike with about half the group to the top of Lookout Mountain. It was highly amusing when we found out that the trail we had taken was actually a closed one, which would explain why we had such difficulty climbing it. Tasuki-chan was there to help, and I kept telling him that he blended in so well with all the leaves. ^__^ Going down was still pretty difficult because for some reason I have issues with going down hill walking. *shrugs* My muse was ever so helpful by mocking me, but in the end he let me lean on him to get down.

By the way, it was beautiful at the top! I took pictures!!^__^ I hope they turn out well.

We had dinner (veggie chili) and played an amusing game called Apples to Apples where you must argue why your choice of card applies to the adjective card. You have to appeal to the judge. Needless to say, I was very bad at the game. I lost, but I had fun trying. Then we watched Fried Green Tomatoes, which was sad. We decided that we couldn't end the evening on such a note so some of us stayed up to watch Remember the Titans. I had never seen that before, so I stayed until the very end, which meant I was left alone to rewind the movie in the *extrememly slow* VCR.

When I finally went upstairs to go to sleep, I found that I couldn't.;o; My body was too alert because of caffiene and one of the girls had enlightened me to the fact that when the room was dark it reminded her of the movie Red Dragon (still haven't seen it, but I know about the killer a bit). This was enough to keep me from sleeping, so I decided to read something downstairs. Liz came down at some point and helped make me some hot tea (de-caffienated) to help me sleep. After I finished my book I was exhausted, so I went right to bed. Tasuki stayed up with me the whole time and promised to toast any potential killers who dared come near me. *pata muse*

We got back earlier this morning and I called my family. Got to talk to them for quite awhile which was nice. Then I went to lunch with some of the hall, followed by a much needed nap.

I know I did a bad job with the paragraph divisions but I'm lazy and I have other stuff to do. The question now is "Will there be a semi-formal this weekend or not?". And if so... who will I ask..>__<

My dad is going to stop by on Wednesday after he gets in so I need to figure out a place to take him. Unfortunately for him, I might be bringing my calculus along with me. ^__~ I have a test next Monday.

My grandparents will also be visiting this weekend. Yay! And then I am going with the youth group to see the new Harry Potter movie. ^____^

No one guessed the song, so it is time for a new quote. The standings remain the same. Work time!

Today has been good otherwise. I set up Tasuki's LiveJournal (my muse for those of you who don't know. He's also fictional so that people don't think I'm pscyho). Made me want to spin with them ^__^ Yay for poetic stuff... perhaps I will write again soon...perhaps even this weekend as we will be in the beautiful mountains ^__^. Yay for Intervarsity retreat!

Just took a quiz and seee what it says!!!:
What's YOUR Writing Style?

brought to you by Quizilla

"You are a descriptive writer. An avid reader of Robert Frost, perhaps, you LOVE to use flowery words and use the paper and pen as your canvas and paintbrush. You prefer to paint a mental image rather than simply toy around with people's minds. A very inspired person, you love to be in nature and usually are a very outdoorsy type of person. A writer with a natural green thumb, perhaps?"

^_______^ Yay! How cool! No updates on the standings... they still... stand... hehee ^__^ Oh! and by the way I might be getting a new journal soon... just so yall know... but don't worry it won't be for a bit. ^__~ And I'll be sure to let yall know about it... the nice thing about this new journal will be that you can *post comments*. *OOOooOOOOoOOoH! Classes Left Until No More Calculus: 14!!!! ^___^
Current Mood: Elated!!
Song of Choice: "Addicted to Love" ~ Robert Palmer

Okay today has been such a good Monday. ^__^ First off, I am in a far superiour mood than yesterday, just had to stop and think about it all and have a few people remind me of the good things in life and bye bye doubts. I thank God for sending me those reassurances. ^__^

Another God thing.... Last night or more I should say early this morning, I asked that I could wake up early tomorrow because I had a lot of work still left to do, and for those of you who know me oh so well, I have a really hard time getting up early in the morning. So this morning my alarm goes off at like 6 something and I went to change the time of my alarm (which I did), but in the process I ended up changing the time of the clock as well. Of course in my incoherent state, I had no idea. My alarm goes off again at what I thought was a little before nine, so I forced myself out of bed thinking I was only going to have time for a quick shower and prayer time. But when I got back from my shower I looked at the clock on our microwave and it said 8:08, not 9 something. I about died. It was so great! So I got to do a good portion of the work I wanted to do. *beams*

Everything else just seemed to go my way today. Nothing bad anyways. Well, excepting the Calculus problem that was the most evil thing in the world because it was easy if you know geometry. Unfortunately, I don't remember *any* or very very little geometry, so obviously, I struggled through it. But I asked my Calculus teacher when I had exhausted all available resources (Thanks to all of you who tried!!). It took him literally 1 minute to explain it. ~___~ I had been working on the darn thing for at least 3 hours. *sighs* Anyhow.. so he gave me that hint and let me turn it in when I was done. Its all turned in and the answer was right. *hopes for a good grade*

Lessee.. what else to do... I have a Psych test to take tonight, my schedule to work on, reading to finish for Wednesday, and Humes paper to edit, an *insanely* long Calculus assignment, and a Chinese quiz most likely tomorrow. Its gonna be *fun* ^__^

I honestly don't care because I am in such a good mood after conquering that problem and explaining it decently. Had a great talk with Mom so that also helped improve my mood, not to mention the beautiful God things I have experienced and just needed to remember or had happen today. ^o^! Yay for GOOD Mondays!!

No one has guessed the quote yet, so no standings to update. Keep guessing yall! The competition is getting fierce!!

Good Luck to all!

This weekend has been chock full of fun stuff. Friday we went and watched some of our hallmates perform in the International night. Then Cammy and I went to visit some of the 3rd Watts boys who were staying at the 24 hour room. I don't think I explained it well before because people were like 'Yall have no lives'. This floor is known for Wasting Life. They even keep track of points to see who can waste life the most. Its rather amusing. So Cammy and I ended staying and watching the first Godfather movie, which we didn't realize was *Forever* long ~__~. But we still had fun visiting them. We even posed for pictures because they took pictures of everyone who came to visit.

Saturday was fun-filled in that Katie and I took a road trip! ^o^! We drove to Greensboro to the mall (without getting lost at all mind you), where we met Beege and ran into Neil. Then we ate lunch and shopped a bit. We decided that the stores had all forgotten that Thanksgiving exists because they were all decorated for Christmas. X__x Then we drove over to visit Zach, Neil and Drew. That was fun cuz we got to talk and see funny pictures of their Halloween costumes as the Rice Girls ^__^. Zach finally ordered us to go so that I could get Katie back to Davidson in time for her date to the Semi-formal. We got back exactly when we wanted to so that was good. I also determined that I-85 and I-40 to I-77 take about the same amount of time to go so it will just be a matter of preference. ^__^ So I left Katie to get ready for the dance while I went out for sushi with Georgie. Then Hannah and I decided it would be fun to go to the Semi-formal anyways because we had pretty dresses and dancing just sounded like fun. We about froze ourselves going over there. But all in all the dancing was fun and I about knew all the songs they played. This kind of shocked the friends we were dancing with to the point that they began to pick on me when I got the song verse wrong. ^_^ It was fun. I danced "my heart out" as one of the girls on my hall said. I just had fun. Hannah was a great date!

Went to church this morning at Grace Covenant Church (there is one of the same name in Austin.. Craziness!). It was quite good. We rode over there with Graham and his roommate. After we had lunch, I took a really long nap and did some chores around the room, and some work. Now I must go finish. Wheeee! fun...

I can't really explain how I feel right now. I guess a war is going on in my mind and that is frustrating. I'm scared to fail and that I can't control all aspects of my life that concern me right now. I don't know quite what to do. I think too much. God just take it all because only you can understand all that I'm going through.

I have to go work now...

Song of Choice: "Peaches 'N Cream" ~ 112

Okay... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! for starters.. I can't believe that November starts tomorrow. Thats just nuts! But yay at the same time because that means less time in Calculus. ^_____^ I will make it!

Funny Story! ^o^! So I was supposed to go with a group of Davidson students (including my big brother and his girlfriend, they're so cute!) and paint pumpkins with the kids at the Salvation Army Women's Shelter in Charlotte. Well that didn't end up happening. First of all we got to what we thought was the shelter and it turned out we had directions to a different facility. Luckily the nice lady inside gave us directions to the *real* women's shelter. Back onto I-77 we go (OH and did I mention that I am driving one of the cars? ^^;;) Then we get lost by missing a turn onto Statesville, so we had to turn around. FINALLY we get to the right place only to find out that all the kids had been taken to a local church for the evening. It turned out that our community service evening turned into a driving tour of Charlotte. XDD We all found it amusing.. I just felt bad for Anne Marie (my big bro's girlfriend) She felt awful that it didn't work out. *pats her* We had fun anyhow. And my car got good exercise which is good since I plan to take it to Greensboro this weekend. ^__^

Lets see... I got the flu shot today, I didn't flinch too bad. Had lunch with Mary and that was fun!

Ummmm.... No standings updates... because no one got my quote... which was Alanis Morrissette's "Precious Illusions", a very very good song! So tomorrow I shall post a new quote. ^__^

Gonna go now! Have fun!

Song of Choice: "Rock Show" ~ Blink 182

Yeah so class went well today. I got my pin number so I can do my schedule for next semester. Sad thing is that my numbers for the lottery kinda suck except for my second "stem" so to speak. *sighs* My advisor thinks I still stand a good chance to get the classes I want. It helps that two of my classes will automatically care over to next year (Humanities and Chinese).

I had another visitor today. It was Mr. Danford! I hadn't seen him in forever, since I moved back to Austin that is. It was great fun. We went out to lunch at Atlanta Bread Company, and we did much catching up. He still seems like such a father figure to me. He actually reminds me a lot of my own dad, same sarcastic humor. XD He reminded me that many of the things that I am going through are normal and that I am still adapting to this new college life, that I shouldn't be so hard on myself. *sighs* Well, that was surprisingly very comforting, but I still need to focus on getting more focused. I know that I can get through all these distractions and finish out better! School isn't going bad per say, merely not going as well as I would like. I have had a *few* emotional things to deal that haven't helped the situation, but I won't let them deter me from the goal. And he reminded me of the importance of prayer. It is indeed a powerful thing.

I am dressed in my ultra cool cowgirl attire. *__* I've decided to be a cowgirl for Halloween, and all the professors kids are coming through the dorms to do some trick or treating tonight. I get to be studying Chinese while handing out candy. How exciting! XD!

Another note... I am thinking that I am going to start a pita for Tasuki sometime soon. I don't know when though. But he has been talking about wanting one. He needs some independence I have realized after that *lovely* conversation that we had last night... or perhaps debate is a better word. X__x Amy and Takui know about it...

One update on the standings... Amy has shot into the lead *applauds her*. She got two points for the last song, Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi" by guessing the lyricist... Unfortunately, no one seems to have any idea about what the current quote is XDD. I am highly amused... It will stay up there until I'm tired of it if no one guesses it. Good luck!

Standings:

Amy: 4 songs
Erin B.: 2 songs
Neil: 1 song
Dad: 1 song
Mom: 1 song
Kamini: 1 song
Anna: 1 song

Current Mood: Relief... but it is Monday ~__~
Song of Choice: "Moonlight Shadow" ~ Mike Odefield.... ooooh techno ^__^ (I don't particularly like this genre of music.. but there are just some songs that I really enjoy).

Don't you hate how Monday just announces its presence. There is this drastic change once 12:00:01 AM hits... or so it seems. ~__~ I hate it especially after such a good weekend. *sighs* Oh well.

Monday brought *DEEP CONCERN* for a friend. I literally was fearing for this person's life. I hope that things get better for this person and I hope that I helped some for real and that you weren't just acting to soothe me... I am always here for you if you need me *HUGS*.

Then, I was late to Humanities by a few minutes because I woke up late today. I swear my alarm is *defective*. But I didn't miss anything except a bit of the paper discussion. I was not as late as I thought. *sighs* And we didn't have our Chinese Quiz today, so that definitely helped. Less stress, since my plan was to get up early today and do some more studying because I was exhausted last night.

Now on to happier things... We have a new competitor who guessed the latest quote. Neil guessed the quote from Third Day's "Love Song." I was beginning to wonder when some of the apartment was going to get in on this ^__~. Drew was a close second by guessing the band, but you must be able to name both song and band. I suppose I never made that clear, but I had never encountered the problem before this, so sorry about that. ^.~

Song of Choice: Ummm... I dunno the name of it... it is a Janne d'Arc song.... but I never got the title of it (off the Zenith CD). Tis very good anyhow! ^_~

So I had ice cream and goldfish for dinner. I have hardly eaten at all today to begin with because I have been so busy. Now I'm just not hungry. I wonder if that is bad? ^__^

*Sighs* Gooood Daay... thats all I have to say... it feels soo good to have the Calc Writ already done, to have only a little bit of homework left. It even feels great that we lost our flickerball tournament game because we played *awesome*

Parents weekend was soo fun! I miss my family already. We had fun. They took me out to all my favorite food places, took me grocery shopping (we have *soo* much food XD), and they went to classes with me!! That was quite exciting. Dad had to keep me awake in Calculus because I had pulled an all-nighter the night before to finish my Humanities paper. When I took naps I slept like a log. I think in the end it actually has helped me to get on a *normal* sleep schedule! XD Craziness! We had dinner with the Whiteds and some of the girls on my hall. We also went to the international festival, which was soo cool because some of my friends performed. The salsa dancer is a Texan from my Humanities class and he was awesome. But Amee looked so beautiful and I think her dance was my favorite.

Not to mention that I spoke with and *saw* Zach. It went sooo much better than I thought it would. Unfortunately, we could not talk very long because he had to get back for Jonah Project, but he still came down to see me. It was very important to me and special that he did it.*sighs*

Messages!!:

Amy~ Thanks for listening to my confusion earlier. Sorry if I haven't been entirely clear lately... well perhaps *ever* ^__~ Tasuki sends his thanks to Takui for the guitar. He is hard at work learning "Punk" for Rei. I love hearing him say, "Wanna be your man.. wanna be your fightin' strong man!" He does it quite well of course. ^__~ I am soo glad your weekend was awesome! Take Care *snugs*

Mommy, Daddy, and Everly~ Thank you SOOOO much for coming up to see me! I had a ton of fun just being with you and time just seemed to fly by so quickly. *sigh* One month and I'll get to see you all again! *cheers* I love you!!

Zach~ Yes, you get a message because I now know *you* read my pita. I am very happy that we got to talk and that you came to see me. There is much to work on yet between us and on ourselves individually, but I think we can get there. I *know* that we are strong enough with God. Take care, and thanks for letting me know you got back to Greensboro okay! Talk to you later!

Jillian!~ I'm glad you can read my pita now! It will keep you a *bit* more up to date on my day to day standing. ^__~ Don't forget to send me your address in California so I can send my Thank you note... just like a good *Texas* girl should! ^__~

NOW! The section *everyone's* been waiting for... The update of the standings...

Song of Choice: "Glory of Love" ~ Chicago

Yeah so it is time to update the standings again... we have two.. count 'em two fierce competitors ^__^! Hall counselor Erin has been proving her knowledge and is now tied for the lead with Amy. Here are the standings:
Amy: 2 songs
Erin B.: 2 songs
Mom: 1 song
Anna: 1 song
Kamini: 1 song

Erin was the latest winner. I actually didn't think *anyone* would get that quote because it was a pretty quiet country song that I had completely spaced off until I heard it on the radio before I went to sleep, but she got it like 10 minutes after I put it up.^^;;

Good luck to everyone and don't forget that if you can name the original lyricist you get extra points! ^__~

So my parents are coming today! *Cheers* I am still really excited as I have said over and over and over again in previous entries so I won't continue in this one! ^__~

I'm stressing a bit because I feel like Graham is upset with me... I can't pretend that I don't know the cause. I have been cold this week but I have visited twice and once he was busy. Then he came up to visit once and Cat from down the hall monopolized the conversation.... *wandered off to talk to Graham* Yeah... well we just had a talk and he decided I needed my space.. I can't blame him... he says it isn't anyone's fault but I still feel responsible. *sigh* I think that it is for the best to hold off on relationships until I sort out the confusion in my heart and mind. NO time for that now either with all the work I have to do. And I'm so busy with school that it isn't fair to the guy. I should have gone with my first hunch and avoided hurting him again, but I honestly thought it could work. *sighs again* I should just let it go and work on getting things back together right now.~__~

Some quick messages before I go do work to distract myself:
Amy~ *HUGS* perhaps those lyrics aren't as easy as I thought they were... but it is one of my fave songs. Don't get discouraged, there is plenty more to come!! And I know that you will know them because our music tastes are still similar ^__~ No worries, sis!

Graham~ *hugs again* I hope that you know I didn't want it to work out this way, but I agree.. I'm not ready. But you're right it is no one's fault yet I still feel responsible. You deserve much better.

Neil~ Good luck on your trip! And next time you are trying to "pick me up" it helps to do it in person... then I swoon for real! ^__~ Good luck this weekend!

Tasuki~ Thank you sooo much for comforting me... you are an excellent musey! And you have inspired me to write some.... now if only you could help make some time!

Now off to clean the room to a movie! *Huggles Katie! I love you for cheering me up!*

Congratulations!

So here are the standings:

Now, onto the actual journal entry... Life for me is busy and stressful but very good. I am sooo excited! My parents and little sister are getting in tomorrow to visit me!!!!! XDDD I am so excited!! (Apparently I'm soo excited that I am being *Way* redundant XD)

Last night was good in the end. I had a *ton* of calculus to do and still do ~__~ as well as a paper to write, so no socializing for Aubrey until later.. *sighs* It will be worth it in the end.

It felt like everyone of my friends had something bad either happen to them or something troubling on the mind. I tried my best to help.. I hope that for all of them... it gets better. I am praying for you (you know who you are) and I think most of them don't read this anyways.. but its still good to cover the bases.

Got a nap today, but I almost overslept... and was like a minute or two late for Calculus, thankfully Katie woke me up! But the nap was really good... I literally crashed, I didn't even remember falling asleep. ^^;; And this morning I got up with plenty of time to get ready for my classes but for some reason my alarm clock is not working.. I'm going to check it out.

Cashed my first paycheck from Davidson college. Yeah, I don't have nearly as much time to work here as I did in high school on Tech stuff, but I'm trying to do it everynow and then. The sad thing is that I haven't gotten to *touch* any of the equipment except to put it up and break it down. *sighs* I hope that improves..

Ran other errands.. dropped off clothes at the laundry services (soooo wonderful) but I still have my personal laundry to do soon too, and picked up my mail which consisted of my CD's from Neil *huggles him*. I've listened to one already and like some of the songs on it (the unedited CD) so I am really anxious to hear the edited *professional* CD. ^__~

I have dinner at an Connor eating house tonight.. so I'm glad I have saved room for the *yummy* food we are going to have!

Humes paper due Friday, Calculus Homework, Chinese.... Psych class tomorrow and drill session.... X__x soo much so little time.

Good news! A friend from youth group might come up to visit while he is in town for a meeting! I haven't seen Mr. Danford since I moved back to Austin 2 years ago.. I can't believe it has been that long... X__x! Anyhow I should be going so that I can get all this work started so I can go to bed *early* I hope any ways.

Current Mood: A little uncomfortable but inspired!

Song of Choice: "Up to Date" ~ Takui

Today has been a really good Monday for once. ^__^ I am so glad that I can say that everynow and then. For some reason everyone was in a really good mood today.

So I spoke up in Humanities today and made some decent points on Oedipus Rex... yes we had to read it again. I almost feel bad for poor Oedipus.. what AM I SAYING... *Smacks* OKay I'm sane again.. promise. ^__~ I have to write the first draft of a paper by Friday and I haven't even started. Unfortunately for me I have a *TON* of Calculus to catch up on so this week is going to be sooo much fun ~__~.

Everyone was giddy in Chinese class... I'm not sure why but it was hilarious. Even just going over the character cards or reading the text, it was just *Funny*. I think everyone was just in such a great state of relief after finishing our midterm that we were all abit looney.. but nothing wrong with that! I'm a psycho anyhow, why not drag everyone down with me XD! Just kidding!

My Parents and Little Sis are coming this weekend to visit! *Dances for Joy* I am soo excited to have them here! I haven't seen them since school started! XD! I just hope my Calculus writ doesn't keep me too long away from them. And they want to attend my classes with me... how cool is that? Hahaha it will be interesting to see what they say.

I hope everyone is enjoying the new away message game of Name that quote.. of course it isn't *really* new but hey it is new for me anyways. Remember it never hurts to guess.. you might just be right! No one has guessed the current quote... good luck to all competitors!

So far the results are as follows...

Anna ~ "Warning" ~ Incubus
Amy~ "These Dreams" ~ Heart
Amy and Kamini ~ "Insensitive" ~ Jann Arden

Guys you are getting killed... XDD Come on now... actually I don't think *any* guys read my pita *shrugs* Oh well! I appeal to all the guys who don't read this pita, and the closet ones that do.... don't give up the Most Knowledgeable Of Lyrics title without a fight! ^__~

Okay.. Calculus time now... ~__~ Soooo much of it to do... *sighs* But I can do it!! Catch yall later!
